About the Course

This training focuses on creating positive and meaningful teacher-child interactions in early childhood classrooms. Participants will explore how relationships, emotional regulation, calm communication, and connection-based guidance strategies support children’s social-emotional development, behavior, and learning. The course introduces Conscious Discipline principles and practical strategies teachers can immediately implement to create safe, connected, and responsive classroom environments. Strong teacher-child relationships, calm communication, and consistent routines provide children with the security they need to learn, explore, and develop positive social skills. Responsive teachers recognize that behavior is often a form of communication and respond with patience, empathy, and guidance rather than punishment.
